burner problems

Aug 21, 2004 2:16AM PDT

OS: Win98
Compaq Presario Desktop
Cicero CD-RW

I need help with my burner. All the applications that I use for burning give me a message saying that they cannot detect a burner or it is not installed properly. I think I deleted a driver or something by accident so the programs can't detect my burner.
Anybody have any ideas on how I can fix this?

Thanks

I looked at that model number and it debued in 1998 and seems to last shipped in 2000. That's a 4 plus year old drive.

Cut your time loss NOW. Try another drive.

4+ years. You had good use out of it. You can replace it with a 8x dual-format DVD burner for less than $80 US nowdays. Good luck. chuck
