Question

Burn CD's

Jun 17, 2013 6:05AM PDT

Sony Pcv-E201
Win 95 operating system
Floppy Disk drive and Cd reader
USB Slot not working
Friend gave me this unit and ask me to copy off his data files. They are too large for a single floppy.
I found a CD burner drive that the system recognizes.
I have googled may sites trying to find a program that will allow me to burn a cd in win 95. I have downloaded several by googling that refer to win 95 but each time I try to install I get a message "looking for a newer operating system"
Can anyone offer any suggestions?

Answer
In this case I'd boot up some Linux.

Got the adapter you recommended. Pulled the HD and used another machine with a working USB and copied the files. Thanks again Bob
