If you don't see the connection when you select, "connect to" "show all connections" from the start menu, you can check the status of the wireless network adapter by using device manager. Hold down the windows logo key and press the pause/break key. Select hardware, device manager and then expand the network adapters node. If it is listed here, R-click and select properties.
