I'm going to suggest a stereo USB MIC. There are many but let's get started with http://www.amazon.com/Alesis-AM3-Stereo-Condenser-Microphone/dp/B002CAF556
Hi everyone :),
First off, hopefully I posted this in the right place.
Now, I've been having a built-in microphone problem with my laptop. It's an HP dv2109nr laptop, which I posted in the thread title. It uses a built-in dual microphone. I've found that only the left microphone will work. I bought a used, but working one for $1.50 on eBay. It's basically the same, just extra wires to each microphone. The connector which connects to the motherboard is exactly the right one. I bought it because I've found that the wiring to the connector, on the stock one, was loose. Played around with it and got the right one working. But because of the wires being so small, I bought this used one on eBay.
Ok, I've got it installed, but yet can't get the right microphone to work. It's now come down to the MIC1 connector on the motherboard that isn't working right. This is the connector the built-in dual microphone connects to. Right now, I'm stressing out because this problem is involving the motherboard. I don't know where to turn to, so I thought I would post here. Any help or where I should go for help, would be great.
This laptop I've had for almost two years, got it from a friend. Since getting it from them, I've never used the built-in microphone. I never had the need, but now I do.
