$10 for a domain (per year)
$60 for hosting (per year)
and lots of time if you're building it. It also depends on whether you are using flash or not... almost anybody could design this with HTML, but flash requires some extra experience and knowledge.

I think $60 is a bit high - I have a perfectly good host for $1/month that comes with great tech support and that basic package includes all kinds of features like MySQL and more. I'm using (remove the spaces):

To actually have the site built would be in the small thousands range, depending on how much you already have ready for it - graphics, content, etc. and depending on if you need a custom management system setup to edit the site from a control panel.

Why make a web by yourself?

I think if you make it by yourself ,it will be better,only you know what you think,which shape you want to design .And the HTML is not too difficult,maybe you can try.
