Building Games

Jul 16, 2007 4:18AM PDT

I starting to get into game programming. I was looking into Python or Game Maker. What other options do I have? Which one would you recommend?
By the way, I'm using Windows XP. Thanks in advance. Happy

Python and blender
Jul 16, 2007 1:27PM PDT

Before I reply, I want to make clear that I do not know python.
However, I use the CG program, Blender, which uses python to script animated movements in it. You can also make games. But, for me personally, this is too great of a learning curve. However, you are probably smarter than me and therefore this would not apply to you.
Overall, though, blender is a great program. If you wish to check out some samples of games that you can make, try their site. They can get pretty complex. Sorry I can't give you the link, because from what I know its against cnet forum rules. Just google blender. It's one of the top.
