1. Is that the fixed Sandy Bridge?
2. If this was for video editing, why no RAID or higher speed drives?

1. I believe its not the fixed version.
2. Could you link me to a suitable drive? I'm pushing the budget at what it is, as I'm going to be doing a degree in Post Production next year and I need to save money to help finance it, So

No sale here.

As to higher speed drives, the number 1 and 2 complaint I hear are slow file copies and wishes for faster encoding.

-> But you revealing that are doing a degree in post production helps me give advice. My son thought he would buy all his own gear and found out it was not useful as the software was 4 to 10 times what his machines would cost. He went with a nice laptop and used the machines offered by the school for the most part. The laptop was used for show and not much else.

Now that I can agree on.

A gaming machine can do video editing too. If you set aside that video editing for a moment you can get where you're going faster.

But do not waste your bucks on the early, broken, Sandy Bridge. Why should you take the beatings?

That looks like a 2.5" harddrive which is for laptops so look for 3.5" they're cheaper

the rest looks good...
