Building a new computer for Multi-media only

I have satellite with DTVHD/DVR it is connected to a Sony 5.1 surround sound system then to a 1080p LCD TV. I have an dvd player also hooked up to the surround sound system. What I want to do is build a computer that has two 1Tbyte HD?s and then connect the computer between the satellite receiver and the TV (with HDMI). So I would connect the Satellite receiver (with HDMI) to the HDMI input on my Sony receiver/amplifier then from there to my video card in my computer, then from the computer to my TV. Are there any video cards that have an HDMI in and an HDMI out? And I would also need to have a remote control that would control the PC and the Sony receiver. And I guess I would need some type of windows media OS? Any help; is this possible?
