Tom's seems to cut through the crud and gets right to what works and what doesn't.
Bang-for-the-buck.
Hi, im pretty new to building computers (as in, ive only seriously used computers for around 2 1/2 years now, and only laptops at that) and after my laptops mobo finally brutally murdered itself (lanny- RIP) i decided that i was going to build a semi-gaming desktop instead of buying a prebuilt.
Im mainly here to ask around and see if everything im looking at is compatible, or if something is wrong, to find an alternative.
heres what im looking at so far
hdd
ram
psu
case
mobo
cpu
gpu
ps: iirc gtx 480 tends to run on the warm side, no?
