Nov 25, 2004 10:09AM PST

When i start trying to play some games, I get a blue screen. Some games include Natural Selection for Half-LIfe, CivII Gold, D2 LoD and some other ones. Help me please, I want to play those games!.

Combined with your other post (about spontaneous restarting) I'm inclined to think of some hardware issue.

For the BSOD's when starting games I would start with running DXDIAG (the DirectX diagnostics). With me, it somehow works from Start>Run, and also from MSINFO32, but you might have to do a search for it on the hard disk to run it. It's possible that results in the same BSOD's.

Not all BSODs are the same, QUOTE the ones you get.

i opened up D2LoD, i cicked multiplayer then the bsod came
"An exception OE at 0028:FF0A0720 in VxD ---. This was called from 0028:C00CA074 in VxD ---."

Today i played another game FireArms Mod for Half-Life and when i start it the sound cuts off. When i join a server and try to crouch, the computer freezes.

Afteri posted the previous msg, I tried to play Frontline Force for Half-Life, but when i opened it i got the same bluescreen that i quoted above. Then after that I got another one that said:
"An exception OE has occurred at 0187:BFF83BFC. The current application will be terminated"

I'm happy to say that I've managed to fix those blue screens yay! I noticed that the sound cut off each time so i tried updating the sound drivers. I downloaded SoundMax 3 from the Intel website, i think it solved the problem since the blue screens doesn't come up anymore.

I'm so happy now!
