Browser Objects- Broken Quicktime Icons

Mar 31, 2005 1:37AM PST

When surfing the net using Firefox, I often get broken
Quicktime icons where either images or advertisements should be. The missing ads don't typically bother me, but missing images do. What settings can I change and how do I go about that to eliminate this problem? Thanks.

I have broken quicktime icons as well

Here is a perfect example.
I play Neopets from time to time, and with Firefox Browser, even though I have the latest (not really the greatest?) Quicktime for WinXP, I cannot play the games which require Quicktime. I have adjusted the modem speed to less than what I have, didn't help. Set all file extentions to use QT. Nope, still didn't work.
I cannot play Destruct-O-Match or any of those other games at www.neopets.com.
What can I do to stop the broken icon and get the actual load?
On my (currently broken hard drive) Linux O/S computer, I have no problem playing the games which require QT and Flashplayer with Mozilla Firefox, and I didn't have to install QT because it came already in it ...just can't do anything Shockwave related with Linux version, which isn't much of a problem.
I just do not know what to do?
Please help! I am very Distressed!
