You can still view the log for sites visited but ONLY the sites that was blocked (depending on which categories you will block).
To view the log of sites that was blocked access by Norton Parental Control:
Open NIS 2008
In NIS tab, click "Report and Statistics"
Then click "View Activity Log"
At the left pane, click "Restrictions" to view the log for blocked websites.
Hope this helps.
I recently purchased and installed Norton Internet Security 2008 on my home PC, running Windows XP Home SP2. I used to have Norton Internet Security 2003 on an older computer and was happy with the features and functionality.
One of the features I used in the 2003 version was the reports on website history. This log tracked all websites visited, similar to the history report within IE itself. However, the report in Internet Security could not be viewed unless logged in as an adminstrator and individual sites could not be deleted from the log. This allowed the user to maintain full control over the website history report and could accurately monitor all web history.
In the 2008 version I am unable to find a similar report. There are Parental Controls to block access to specific sites or sites of a certain nature, but there does not appear to be a way to view a history of web sites visited. Has this feature been removed in 2008 or am I not looking in the right place? With Norton Internet Security 2008 installed, how can I monitor web site access and prevent users from simply deleting the history file within Internet Explorer?
Any advice is much appreciated. Thanks.
