Resolved Question

Browser Changed From Firefox to IE + Can't reverse

Jul 28, 2014 9:09AM PDT

this has happened to me before and I was able to fix it, but I guess this is another 'Senior Moment' for me and I'm stuck. most of the online suggestions show you how to set the default when you already have Firefox, which I don't.
I am using Windows 7. Thanks, Mike

Do It in Firefox

Assuming you still have Firefox as a browser (or reinstall if you haven't)), go to Tools , Options, Advanced and you will see an box to make Firefox your default browser. Just select it and it should replace IE.

Browser Changed From Firefox to IE + Can't reverse
Jul 28, 2014 1:49PM PDT

Thank you. Sorry, everyone, but I didn't explain my problem correctly. I have the Firefox tab with History and Bookmark tabs and they function correctly. But all the Icons are still IE type, not Firefox. I tried resetting my browser by a few times. I went to to Tools \ Options, \ Advanced and checked the box to make Firefox my default browser, but it does not get rid of the IE type Icons.
Is there a way to change the type of Icon? Thanks! Mike
