Phew, got it.
As I kept being sent to http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/java/index.html I decided to look further in to this. I did not have correct Java download. Once uninstalled and reinstalled Java and enabled applets everything is working perfectly - test print and barcodes from Amazon![]()
I cannot get stickers to print.
I have used and still can use my Brother QL-500 sticker printer on my old Dell laptop that runs Windows 7.
I have upgraded to a Lenovo G710 running Windows 8.1.
I have installed the printer and downloaded the correct driver from the Brother website. I have checked on the Lenovo Solution Center software and it agrees that both the printer and driver are there and in a healthy state.
I sell items on Amazon and need to print off unique barcodes. It is through the Amazon website that I request my Brother printer to print off these barcodes. When I request a barcode I get sent to the Oracle website: http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/java/index.html
I have downloaded Java and it is enabled in my browser.
I have a continuous roll of stickers in my Brother machine set at 62mm wide and set at 29mm long. When I ask for a test to be printed the Brother machine's green light flashes quickly and continuously.
On my old laptop I get a message at the start of each time I begin to use the sticker machine asking If it is OK to allow the machine to print (when I am asking for stickers while on the Amazon website).
I am now assuming there is a conflict somewhere?
Please can some one point me in the right direction?
Many thanks in advance!
