Question

Brother MFC printer not scanning into one file

Feb 6, 2014 8:08PM PST

Hello,

I have a new Dell XPS laptop with Windows 7 that does not seem to be synching up with the Brother MFC 7840W printer in my employer's office. After arranging the Control Center to put multiple-page scans into one file, the result is always printing each page into separate files. Another issue is that it is not scanning as a PDF but as a JPEG. The issue might be with the computer itself, as I tried seeing the available programs in the Scanning Utility box. In that dialog box, Adobe is not there but only Paint and other programs. Does anyone have ideas about what I can do? I have to upload Nitro, a PDF-editing program, which may be helpful.

Scanners use 2 types of drivers, twain and wia? Usually you will have better luck at using the twain. This is universal for different manufactories
