Broken new replacement Xbox!

Nov 12, 2009 7:39AM PST

I sent my Xbox in for the E74 Error, and they sent me a new Xbox, and I had it about ten minutes and then I started hooking it up, First I got the video cable in, then the power cable, and I turned it on.

Then When the Xbox came on it told me to pick a language, and then I rememberd the wireless enternet, so I hooked that up to the Xbox, and It shut off on the TV but the Xbox was still on, and I looked at it and I saw the four lights started flashing red all at once, they flashed about 3 times.

I turned the Xbox off, then back on, and I still didnt see anything on the TV, but there was no flashing lights. And I turned it off agian and then un hooked all the wires and then hooked them back up, and turned it on agian, and I still didnt see anything on the TV.

Please help me! I just had it for ten minutes!

Thank you- Charles

What I'd try

What I'd try, is just pulling the power cable, waiting about a minute, then plugging it back in. Then seeing what happens. If that doesn't work, box it back up and file another repair request with Microsoft.

They give you an additional 90 days warranty on any repair they do, so you should be well within that. And I honestly had a system die on me within 36 hours of getting a replacement, so it happens.

Lucky you.

Call it in. Early deaths are easier to get exchanged than 3 months later.
