For you to get tired of trying. Look around for class action lawsuits against them. Many stories you can google about Samsung and cracked screens. You are NOT alone.
Hi Guys,
Recently coming out of horrendous experience dealing with Samsung. I concluded that all the talk about concern for customer is a trash load of crap.
Just to give you guys a background. We been a joint family, used to purchase goods in bulk. We purchased 3 Samsung TVs (2 65 Inch and one 55 Inch) last december. All of them of the KS8000 series.
While we opened one 65 and one 55 immediately we did not open the other 65 inch box. Recently (last week) I opened the box and put the TV on the stand. It looked as pretty as it comes and I put my favorite video on it, only to shockingly discover a black spot on the left side of the TV. On closer inspection it was apparent that the TV had a crack on the inside. I am 100% positive there was no physical damage to it, no signs of anything on the outside.
In good faith and confidence in Samsung I called there Ecommerce dept. Initially for the first 3 days they played around with me, promising me of a return receipt and refund. Since this TV model is discontinued, they promised me a refund. I was ok with it, even though annoyed that I had to go through all this after buying a brand new tv from Samsung direct and using it for 2 minutes.
Nothing happened for 2-3 days, so I called them back only to find to my horror that they rejected my return request citing > 30 day rule. At the same time they promised that this problem will definitely be taken care by warranty team. So began the 3 days of chasing with their warranty team, who just by looking at one pic from one angle concluded that it is a physical damage (caused by god knows who/what)? He infact said cause it is not covered by warranty, ecommerce is the best team to help me. Basically they kept bouncing me from one department to other. Finally I got tired and have given up on Samsung. I am 100% convinced it is not a physical damage and would love to see how Samsung proves it. I am planning to take this case to the hilt. Can some please guide me on how to take it up on Consumer affairs/BBB. Is it best to hire an attorney or join any existing class action suit? No sign of trauma/scratch mark visible from outside. Any guidance highly appreciated.
