Dells not a bad company to deal with.. Pulling the jack from the board could cause other problems in the audio circuit and I'd reccomend getting it repaired ASAP.. They may help you if you ask and explain the situation.. If they wont we'd be glad to help.
On my Dell Inspiron 9100, earlier I pulled my laptop forward with something in the headphone jack. It was my speakers which were very tight, No slack in the wire whatsoever. Something happened when I pulled it, like it bent kind of inside (not quite sure). Now there is a horrible sound, an annoying buzz from my speakers. Headphones have sound but have very murky sound. My laptop is under warranty, so i have 2 ?'s. What happened to the audio connector? If There is nothing to fix it, will dell fix it since it is under warranty but the damage was done by me accidentally? Thank You.
