Brochure In PDF Need To Make Changes

May 14, 2010 3:59AM PDT

I am trying to start my own business. The person who did my brochures gave me a CD with what she did on it. She is no longer in business. I have found some mistakes on the brochures that need to be changed before I get any copies of my brochure made.

Is there a software program that I can download so I can make the changes to the brochure myself? I didn't know what to search for and knew from my past experience with the forums here that I would get the answer I need.

Thanks for your help,
Renee

Try Open Office.

You may have to re-create the work but with Open Office, Google Documents and even free Desktop Publishing software at least you won't have any barriers to getting this done.

Don't Know How To Re-Create
May 14, 2010 10:41AM PDT

I downloaded Open Office. When I go to open the brochure file in Open Office it gives me a box with a lot of different names (not sure what the names are for but think it might be different software)to choose from. I called the person who did my brochure to ask what the name of the software was she used and she hasn't called back. I don't know how to re-create. Is there not a software program I could download that would allow me to open the brochure and make the changes without knowing what she used?

Thanks again for the help,
Renee

About PDF "editing."
May 14, 2010 12:04PM PDT

Remember we don't edit PDF. We make the document in some editor then export or print it to PDF.

Look at the files given to you and note if there are other files other than PDF. Those might be what you need to edit.

If not, you get to learn how to create it anew.
