Broadcast Streaming Video

Jan 16, 2007 6:05PM PST

Okay, I've used the Microsoft Media Encoder and streamed LIVE video across the net, but the problem is 5 viewers limit. Since it works directly from my computer to the viewers, I figure that my Internet upload bandwidth is limited. Yesterday, or the day before, I upgraded to the highest package that COX has to offer, but still the limit of viewers is a problem. How can places that stream LIVE video are able to broadcast to hundreds and/or thousands of viewers? What should I do? Is there any other programs out there similar to MME? Bascially, I want to know how to increase the amount of viewers.

Which OS?

XP Pro and Home have connection limits. Which fries some when they find out since the limit is artificial. Try Linux if the cost of a Windows 2003 Server is too much.

I'm not understanding what you're talking about.

You'll have to look at a better OS to do more connections with said software.
