Broadband T1,T2 and T3 speeds

im new to broadband, i have comcast 6mbs is that T3 how high does it go? just curious, after switching from dial up it seems pretty amazing to me. are there any reliable bandwidth meters out there, ive tried a few, and the results are all over the board (1.5 mbs-9.5 mbs)

thanks, that worked well, im consistantly getting around 7mbs

so thats not the same as T-3?

T-3 is a fully digital Time Division Multiplexed (TDM) signal. It's the same as an OC-3, optical without the optical overhead. It's the same as a DS-3. It's 28 T-1s multiplexed together for a clock speed of 43 Mb/s.
