After doing much work on a spyware infected computer. I noticed that the bandwiths are different on my 3 computers that are on a wireless comcast network. They are all running XP. The Gateway the oldest (3) is wired to the wireless cable modem/router (reading 100 mps). The other computer (HP a year old)(one that had all the spyware problems) is on the next level with a wireless usb device (reading 11 mps)and the third is a new laptop (HP d8060) with wireless built in (reading avg. 46 mps). All these computers are loaded with speed etc. Can anyone tell me why the different mps? Whith all the talk of people stealing bandwith it's concerning me. Although these are on a secured network. The wireless ones are on firewalls. The main one is not. All have Nortons, spyware programs.
