Briteview is definitely worth it for consumer and home office use if you will not have a direct light source behind your notebook LCD a lot (a Window).

Also, you would not want this in many workplace environments as the overhead flourescent lighting in many cases would reflect off the Briteview (similar to Toshiba Trubrite, Sony Xbrite or Fujitsu Crystal View) too much.

In my office at work for example, my window is directly behind my desk.

But I would get Briteview for home use where I use my Compaq X1000/HPZT3000 that also now has Briteview.

When looking at e-mail, etc on bright white screens (or these Cnet notebook forums) you will need to turn down the brightness on the LCD ..........(that also saves battery life when unplugged and using the LCD in low light conditions).

DVD's, of course, and other video will look outstanding on the Briteview LCD....
