Question

Brightness issue

by Bettyd6203 / October 20, 2012 4:36 AM PDT

I have Samsung Series 5 (550) LCD TV, and default brightness setting is 45, but that's way too dark. If I manually change it to 100, it's better, but the change doesn't hold and it reverts to the 45 setting eventually (sometimes in less than 10 minutes.

Did you set it up?

That is, the settings revert automatically when the set is new and it's in SHOP or DEMO MODE.

That is usually covered in the first few pages of the manual.

It was fine for the first two years we had the set. I dont know what the settings were, never had to look at them. This is a recent phenomenon.

Then it's time to do that again.

I've seen resets cause this. Try it again.

Help, my PC with Windows 10 won't shut down properly

Since upgrading to Windows 10 my computer won't shut down properly. I use the menu button shutdown and the screen goes blank, but the system does not fully shut down. The only way to get it to shut down is to hold the physical power button down till it shuts down. Any suggestions?
