Break your 360 NOW!...

by robstak / August 15, 2007 2:08 AM PDT

So I thought I'd share an interesting story from yesterday with everyone:

For the second time my 360 slammed me with the "Red Ring of Death" the other day. "You have gotta be [explitave]-ing kidding me." Fortunately(?) for me I had RE-purchased WorstBuy's 2-year warranty thing after my 360 broke the first time.

I went to the mall to replace my $400 game-console-***-brick, and VERY MUCH to my surprise the following happened: The BB customer service rep told me to pull another one off the shelf, and she would just replace it with that one. OK, cool. She rang it up and and let me know that since there was a price drop last week, I get a $54 BB gift card. SWEET! Not only that, but since M$ ponied up the warranty to cover up their corner-cutting workmanship, she told me that I wouldn't have to re-up my BB warranty ($80). SWEET! Finally, I get home, unbox to realize that now my XBox has HDMI. SWEET!

So for my troubles, I got 54$, free continuation of my paid warranty, and 1080p!

I therefore, humbly suggest, if you bought your 360 from WorstBuy, to go smash it with a hammer/generic blunt object right now. YMMV, but it definately worked for me.

(In retrospect I should have used the gift card and 50 bucks to get the 1337-360, o well)

Help, my PC with Windows 10 won't shut down properly

Since upgrading to Windows 10 my computer won't shut down properly. I use the menu button shutdown and the screen goes blank, but the system does not fully shut down. The only way to get it to shut down is to hold the physical power button down till it shuts down. Any suggestions?
