Brand New PN50a650 stops working

by Torke42 / April 21, 2009 6:45 AM PDT

Last night I was watching my two month old last night and it turned it self off, then turned itself back on, and since then, the picture is completely blurry and has almost no color. It's like the backlight died and the color is off. Has anyone else experienced this problem. I have contacted SAMSUNG regarding the warranty and a technician is supposed to come look at the problem. Any idea how long it will take to get it fixed with the SAMSUNG technician? Thanks.

Torke42,

The tech will usually get a hold of you in a day or so. If you haven't heard from your tech in that period of time, you might try calling back 800-SAMSUNG to see if one of the technical support operators can give you the contat information of your technician.

Keep me posted.

Since the other night, the problems has become steadily worse and now there are just slow moving lines that slowly fill the screen. The audio still works. Any idea what might be the problem? Will they have to replace the entire TV?

They probably wont replace the tv, just some of the tv's components. I've been told most reapirs get finished in 7-10 days, but it depends entirely upon the service center, how long it takes for the parts to arrive, and if they are succesful on the first try. If repairs take longer than a month, thats usually a warning sign and they jump on it to get the problem resolved quicky. None of my repairs took that long fortunately.

Help, my PC with Windows 10 won't shut down properly

Since upgrading to Windows 10 my computer won't shut down properly. I use the menu button shutdown and the screen goes blank, but the system does not fully shut down. The only way to get it to shut down is to hold the physical power button down till it shuts down. Any suggestions?
