I have found that the better the TV, especially when you get into 52" plus sizes, SD channels tend to look worse.
That's one of the plus/minus flaws of the digital age.
Crap in = Crap out, and great in = great out.
just got this TV. I use an over-the-antenna. The HD channels display fine however SD (480i) channels are noticeably bad with pixelation etc I get similar results from certain DVDs playing on BD-P1590. The blu-ray is set to output 1080p.
The picture mode on TV is set to STANDARD.
The firmware version is 2009/10/06_001013. The version on the Samsung site is 001012
Is this expected of this TV? or can I try different settings. I had a SONY Bravia VL series before this TV and it displayed SD without any of these issues.
