Question

Brake fluid and hissing

Mar 20, 2017 8:57AM PDT

Alright guys,

I have a 2003 VW jetta GLS 2.0 L.

The issue: my brake fluid is leaking. I did a rebuild on the rear calipers for the boot and the inner seals and saw the pistons were all scratched up (rear calipers).

Also, when I press the brake pedal down just far enough, I begin to hear a hissing noise if I hold my foot down long enough and hard enough.

I am pretty sure the calipers need to be replaced but I was told about checking my vacuum line for any leaks.

Need some big time help here. I am tired of throwing brake fluid into the reservoir every one or two weeks.

Thanks for the suggestions
