Brain-Dead Newbie Wants to Know: INPUT FILE TOO SMALL

Jan 8, 2005 10:47PM PST

After loading up and starting X-Cleaner, I get a message: Input file too small (C:\DELPHI\XCleaner|uSigsLoader. pas, line 160). XCleaner has a new (and non-exsistant) customer service center with no e-mail address link, just an automated system that's even dumber than I am.

Need Input

As number 5 would say Happy

What version of X-Cleaner did you install?
What is your computer OS: Win 95/98/ME/NT/2000/XP ??
Is this (C:\DELPHI\XCleaner|uSigsLoader.pas, line 160) a file ??

From the sound of it the install missed something and you may wish to just reinstall the program to see if it will resolve the issue.

If that doesn't work. I would open that file it is giving you the error on then go to line 160 and see what it is looking for. I would open it in DOS or if you want simply download a program called editplus that will show you the line numbers. (It's free for 30 days http://www.editplus.com/)

X-Cleaner Update
Jan 9, 2005 3:24AM PST

Gary, thanks for your response. I can't find a version number; it's just listed as X-Cleaner Deluxe which I downloaded just a few days ago. My OS is Windows XP (home edition). I did a careful search for the C:\DELPHI etc., but that file does not seem to exist (very confusing for a novice.) I did an uninstall/reinstall, but with no change in the screen message. My last resort is to ask for a refund through my credit card company. That's at least one thing that has always worked in the past!

Re: X-cleaner message

Caocao,

Either the x-cleaner programmers did some erroneous programming, or there is some condition on your system they didn't take into account when designing and testing their program.
If you can't get their program working on your computer, asking your money back is the only reasonable thing to do.

Kees,

The kind corporate hearts of XBLock have just e-mailed me that my card will be credited a refund. (I'll hold my breath.) Gott sei dank!
