BP96-01472A Lamp is required. Please Help

by brettkalous / September 27, 2007 7:25 PM PDT

Hi guys, I am bret. First poster here so please be gentle.

I have a 43" Samsung HLS6187W DLP Tv. My lamp has blown out. I have to replace it. The lamp code is BP96-01472A. The problem is that I could not find the lamp with the exact code.

Please guys help me if you have any knowledge about the lamp etc.

Any advices or suggestions are fully appreciated.

BP96-01472A Lamp found for only $109!
by ovadoggvo / October 25, 2007 1:37 PM PDT

I just stumbled upon this site that seems to me to have the cheapest price on the net... with a full warranty and a Samsung ORIGINAL part! They have it here for $129 with the enclosure:

Or here for only $109 without the plastic enclosure!

I hope I was helpful... I see good reviews about discount-merchant everywhere I look so they must be a good source.

Probably most of us encounter lamp code nomenclature
by NM_Bill / October 27, 2007 10:45 AM PDT

changes. It's the nature of things. My TV manufacturer (Samsung) company site has an easy to follow trail of lamp OEM quality comparable replacement numbers. The TV & lamp makers work hand in hand. Often the TV maker set specs for the lamp originally, but then the lamp makers took the initiative to consolidate & sometimes improve on the replacement over the original.

It is easy to fine many lamp seller websites.
