One can not switch that ATA setting and expect Windows to boot properly. In other words, use the setting that works.
I have LG's Xnote ED 510. It was working fine until it's one of USB port shorted with a mail functioned Power Suply of a Camera. This was repaired by a local guy. But now it re boots only after 24 hrs or more. Once started its working fine. It looks there is some trouble in HDD type. While I change the Phenix Bios ATA setting to Compatible mode the laptop starts booting immediately but after some time on windows starting it shows blue screen and some message of shutdown and restart again and again. But it is woking fine with ATA setting to Enhaced mode and AHCI enabled, only its booting problem.
