Both Winhotkey and ODIR don't work

Feb 8, 2011 11:19PM PST

In my windows 7 laptop, both these apps don't work (oops: ODIR worked exactly once in Outlook 2003 and then disappeared).
I think I have changed all the permissions but still no joy.
Is there a magic fix to get these to work?
Thanks,

daqddyo1

The only amusement here is that both apps are from Microsoft.

ODIR problems are closely related to OsaSynce problems as noted at http://www.vaita.com/ODIR.asp

Your post didn't reveal if you have done the research into these problems.

ODIR Woes
Feb 9, 2011 1:59AM PST

One thing that may be involved here is 32 vs 64 bit. But, my Office 2003 and ODIR are both installed in the PF(x86) folder. When I check the Comm Adins in Outlook 2003, I see that odir is experiencing a runtime error at startup.
How do I fix this?

Thx,

Just a note.

I still use Office 2003 and found that Outlook failed on Windows 7 until I install Microsoft's latest patches. Noted at http://forums.cnet.com/7723-6129_102-380443.html?tag=threadListing;forum-threads

There is no 64 bit version of Office 2003 that I've found so installing in the x86 directory looks proper.

However, that runtime error is a clue. But without more about it I can't comment at length but have to go back to the first link I gave and suggest you try that support at that site.
