Boston Celtics/LA Lakers NBA Playoff Game

by taboma / June 17, 2008 3:15 PM PDT

BLOWOUT by Boston in game 6. Four to two.
The most outstanding performance in NBA history.
A great playoff to watch.
Final was 133 BOS/92 LA.

It was nice to see Bill Russell watching the game and give Kevin Garnett a warm hug after the game. Bill Russell is my hero for the Boston Celtics. Bill Russell was probably the greatest NBA player in history.
Watching the first quarter of tonight?s game showed who would be the winner.
It was Boston Celtics early and clearly.
Good defense, nice offence and good rebounds.

MVP player was Paul Pierce.
Kevin Garnett played a great game for the Celtics.

OK, next years playoff will be LA & BOSTON!??

Havlicek, Russell...
by Angeline Booher / June 18, 2008 8:14 AM PDT

..... they had a dynasty going, all right.

I used to enjoy pro basketball, but have lost interest over the years, I was glad to see the Celtics win "for old time's sake".

Angeline, been a long time since Larry Bird and Bill Russell.
Did you know that Havlicek had a heart resting point of 34!?
The man could have played the whole game and would not be fatigued at all. What an athlete.
My wife used to baby sit for Bill Rusell's two daughters while they lived in Reading, MA.
"Old time sake" is right on. :
