Bose Lifstyle V30 HDMI

Can I run a regular HDMI cable from my blue-ray player to my bose media center and then use a HDMI to DVI converter cable using the HDMI out on the Bose to the TV. My TV has a DVI input not HDMI, thus the need for the converter cable. I get audio, but no video. Help!
