Bootcamp/Parallels Question

Apr 18, 2007 11:13PM PDT

A year ago I built a PC with Windows XP SP2. I just ordered my first Mac and I was wondering if I can use my the same disk I used before to put on my Mac under Bootcamp or Parallels or does someone know how I can get around having to buy another operating system?

If you load Linux on the PC then your license is now on the Mac.

If you did that, it stops working in 28 days.

is that if you remove Windows from your PC and load something like Linux on it, you can then legally install your purchased copy of XP on your Mac using Boot Camp or Parallels.

Because you purchased a non-OEM version of XP, you are free to move that software from one machine to another, as long as it is only on one machine at a time.
