Bootable Backup for Windows7

Jan 11, 2010 10:06AM PST

I want to make a bootable back-up of my new laptop with Windows 7. The software doesn't need to be free, but it does need to be simple. I don't need the bells and whistles. I'm more interested in reliability. suggestions?

I use Acronis True Image

I've got versions 9 and 10 of their home edition. It's not free but works fine for me. It will clone a drive or make a full image of all the partitions on the drive which can be used to fully restore the entire drive in a matter of a few minutes. The software installs on your hard drive but can make a bootable CD ROM that runs the basic backup/restore functions. You can occasionally find this software discounted at Newegg and elsewhere.
