suggestions are limited.
1. Have you tried accessing the CMOS setup? If you get there the vga is ok.
2. If you get absolutely nothing on the monitor and you have already removed and replaced the graphics card have you tried a different DVI cable or possibly a VGA cable instead?
3. Tried a different monitor?
4. Tried an old PCI or AGP card (depending on what slots you might have available?
This morning I tried to turn on my PC and the screen didn't come on (as in, the screen light remains yellow, but it knows it's plugged into something as if I unplug the DVI cable the screen displays "no signal"). However, the computer does boot up to a certain extent in that the fans come on, I get the *standard* system beep and the keyboard lights flash as per usual (numlock still works). I do not, however, get as far as hearing the windows log on theme tune.
I've tried removing the hard drives and moving the RAM around to no avail. If I remove the graphics card I get the long beep associated with no video out. I've also tried resetting the CMOS chip, but again, that seems to not change a thing.
My suspicion lies with the graphics card, but I'm really at a loss to see what the problem is. I'm currently trying to source a pci-e graphics card to test in the machine, but until then I'm unsure what to try.
