Bookmarks Sidebar in Firefox

Even though I have no check-mark for "Bookmarks" in View > Sidebar in Firefox, Bookmarks sidebar has recently started appearing when I open Firefox. It is only a minor annoyance to keep crossing it out, yet I don't understand why it appears.

I shall appreciate instruction how not to have the Bookmarks sidebar appear. (Needless to say, I want the Bookmarks toolbar to keep appearing as in the past.)

Thank you!

You looked in "View" then...

look at "sidebar", you can add bookmark or history. Personally I don't use the sidebar.
