Bookmarks short cut on desktop?

Anyone know if possible to place a shortcut for Firefox Bookmarks?
Running Vista Home Premium, I did go into c:/user.... and created a shortcut for bookmarks.html. Is that the way?

Why not tell us what happens if you click it?

Then we can see if that's the way, or not.

What, by the way, do you want to do? I can interpret your question in 2 ways:
1. Run Firefox and open it with the bookmark window open on the left side, so it saves you the (minor) trouble to press ctrl-B.
2. A link to a specific Favorite site, like
