Boarder Security?

POTUS....DJT

Anytime you hear a Democrat saying that you can have good Boarder Security without a Wall, write them off as just another politician following the party line. Time for us to save billions of dollars a year and have, at the same time, far greater safety and control!

Well, he spelled boarder correctly...he just got the wrong border.

Wall

In reply to: Update.. someone tapped DJT on the shoulder?

If a wall is needed for security then fine build it.

If a wall is needed to fill a campaign promise then that's not so fine.

The Don does not want to hear any other solution except his wall.

Order 2 soldiers with a roll of Concertina barbed wire out in the desert and declare a victory, on getting "funding" for the Wall. OR maybe a cement mixer and a wheelbarrow if HE wants to make it look permanent.

Of this standoff expect the Don to go into full salesman mode.
Right now he is in a snit because congress won't bend to his will.
I'll bet Xi and Putin don't have these type problems.

Money and the natural environment issues

In reply to: Boarder Security?

20+ million illegals already here costs the taxpayer $149 billion per year as of Sept 2017 https://www.fairus.org/issue/publications-resources/fiscal-burden-illegal-immigration-united-states-taxpayers or https://nationaleconomicseditorial.com/2017/02/24/cost-trump-border-wall/

As for the environment....the desert areas of the southwest have been devastated. It's estimated via a federal study of the area that illegals leave behind an average of 2.5 pounds of trash as they 'travel' thru that destroys the soil, animals leave the area, plants are killed off, tourists no longer go there, etc.

Bodies and bones are found regularly in those areas of people who have lost their way or are killed by others as a 'burden' because they got sick, weak, etc and slow down the rest. Many are 'mules' who carry many pounds of drugs in packs on their backs, met by others in trucks who take the drugs and send the mules back across the border to get the next deliveries....some make it, some don't because the return trip is just as dangerous as the first trek, and if they attempt to stay and refuse to go back and 'do their job', they are killed and replaced. Some miss their 'connection' and wander forward and die with their drug packs and are later discovered.

All of this and more can be stopped or slowed to a trickle with a real wall in a short period of time. $25B is a minor amount of money compared to what is already considered by most taxpayers to be wasted money spent on securing OTHER countries' borders and the 'good will' bribery money spent around the world that we give where that money never gets to the intended target (the people) and goes into the pockets of corrupt leaders instead....most of which don't like the USA and work against us anyhow.

illegal = unauthorized?

From YOUR link

Sept 2017

Estimating the fiscal burden of illegal immigration on the U.S. taxpayer depends on the size and characteristics of the illegal alien population. FAIR defines “illegal alien” as anyone who entered the United States without authorization and anyone who unlawfully remains once his/her authorization has expired. Unfortunately, the U.S. government has no central database containing information on the citizenship status of everyone lawfully present in the United States. The overall problem of estimating the illegal alien population is further complicated by the fact that the majority of available sources on immigration status rely on self-reported data. Given that illegal aliens have a motive to lie about their immigration status, in order to avoid discovery, the accuracy of these statistics is dubious, at best. All of the foregoing issues make it very difficult to assess the current illegal alien population of the United States.

MY link

Article printed NOVEMBER 28, 2018

There were 10.7 million unauthorized immigrants in the U.S. in 2016,

There were 5.4 million Mexican unauthorized immigrants living in the U.S. in 2016, down from 6.9 million in 2007.

20+million - 10.1 million = 10 million?

10 million in the last 2 years?

DJT just tweeted these figures....

Illegal immigration costs the United States more than 200 Billion Dollars a year. How was this allowed to happen?

50 Billion here....50 Billion there after a while it starts to add up

Collapse -
Dems want you to believe for YEARS now

In reply to: RE:costs the taxpayer $149 billion per year

that 11 million are here....it's the same number they quoted in 2013 and earlier, as if more haven't poured across the border by the thousands repeatedly during the BO administration....which is why the number even as Border Patrol agents were already disputing in 2013. https://www.washingtontimes.com/news/2013/sep/9/nearly-20m-illegal-immigrants-us-ex-border-patrol/

The money I quoted is less than Trump's based on the article I linked to; however, any way you look at it, $50B to build the wall literally shows that it would pay for itself pretty quickly.....and with the new trade agreement with Mexico, the benefit to the USA actually does HAVE Mexico paying for it in the long run.

If you really believe that "50 Billion here....50 Billion there after a while it starts to add up" is true, then saving $100 or $150 billion is true as well, and we can afford the wall.

50 Billion here....50 Billion there after a while it starts to add up"

I was being sarcastic....but it is true....

$5 billion for the wall...$5 billion for something else after a while it starts to add up.

YOUR link/proof stated All of the foregoing issues make it very difficult to assess the current illegal alien population of the United States.

So they have a guesstimate of how many illegals are in America.

Very difficult means impossible in my books.

RE: Dems want you to believe for YEARS now

How many are in this country?
I don't think anyone knows.
People just make up any number they want.

The wall.
Is that the best way to fix this problem?
Or is it the only fix the Don wants to see?
The Dems think there is a better way although I have not read anything specific.
Or are the Dems blocking this just to tweak the Don?

The Don better get this funding in the next couple of weeks because after the first of the year I doubt the Dems will change their mind unless the Don is willing to sweeten the pot.

In reply to: Ilegal Immigrants

Dems rejected it out of hand, even though all the leadership in the Dem party a few short years ago were all for keeping illegals out. They wanted from BO 750K DACA's given concessions, but Trump upped that number to 1.8M but it had to include the wall, and ending the lottery and chain migration.

If you count the number of children in our school system that are illegals and add at least one parent to the list (and many have more than one kid enrolled), you have a vast number.....and that includes college kids and those who already have 'records' showing they were in our schools at some point and now are considered to be DACA so they can be added to that number. Now you can add in all those for the last eight years or so that have recorded info as they were under the 'catch and release' crap since they got paperwork to show up in court. Now add in those who were caught at the border or within our cities who were/are criminals and are currently in jail waiting to be deported either anytime soon or after thy serve their time. Now add in the additional millions who enter the country legally on visas for school or work who never leave once their visas expire.

Now look/compare that total number to the documented records of illegals in the welfare system getting food stamps, housing, education, medical, and/or any other type of government assistance, including taxpayer paid attorneys to represent them.

You get the idea...….DACA hasn't reached SCOTUS yet, but when it does, I suspect that it will go the same way DAPA did...……...

Perhaps no amount of sweetener will bring the Dems on board for a wall.

Considering that government agency's can only guess the number of illegals in this country perhaps they should ask you.

You seem to have it all figured out.

New York AG files lawsuit against Trump Foundation for alleged 'illegal conduct;' Trump says he 'won't settle'

NOW

The Donald J. Trump Foundation agreed to dissolve “under judicial supervision”

“This is an important victory for the rule of law, making clear that there is one set of rules for everyone. We’ll continue to move our suit forward to ensure that the Trump Foundation and its directors are held to account for their clear and repeated violations of federal and state law.”

that Trump wanted to dissolve the Foundation when he declared his run, and the former (now scandalized and gone) AG wouldn't let him. His Foundation only has $1M+ in it and NYAG wouldn't let him send it to any reputable charities until now. Doesn't sound like much of a Foundation anymore so it sounds like they all came to an agreement....as long as the new AG ok's the charities, the Foundation goes away. Which is what he wanted to do all along. However, there are people in the AG department who have publicly said that ANYBODY connected to Trump in NY are targets that will be gone after. And yet....the Clinton Foundation also headquartered in NYC, I believe, worth hundreds of millions is never spoken of....go figger.

The only ones finally looking at the Clintons are the Feds...but it's not getting much press, is it?

In reply to: RE: natural environment issues

no matter what party all have an agenda. Look at how much land and real estate the Federal Government owns today compared to a hundred years ago. The more you own, the more powerful you are and the more control you have. Sell even a small portion of those properties to private individuals or companies, and we would be completely out of debt and have a border wall and national infrastructure, including electric grids, wouldn't be a struggle within a few months...…..but that would mean liberals couldn't raise taxes and have a reason to do it. Think of how little the taxpayer would have to be charged to accomplish that. The entire liberal (both parties) agenda of taxation would collapse almost immediately is what they would shout from the rooftops....but if companies and individuals had that land and real estate to grow economically and put new businesses in place, more people would have jobs, and corporate and personal income taxes would double what comes in now pretty darn quickly. Did you know that the Federal Government took in more in taxes last year than in all of history?

We just allocated $10 BILLION to be sent to Central American countries this week so their government can supposedly help their people get jobs and stay in their own countries instead of coming here......that's insane. We ALL know who will end up with that money and it's NOT the people. You can't keep doing the same thing over and over and expect different results, but Congress does EVERY TIME.....but refuses to spend HALF of that on a real solution to keep them from coming.

So, what is your agenda?

Clean up Dem bones, them dry bones?

Some miss their 'connection' and wander forward and die with their drug packs and are later discovered.

You see drug mules...others see dinner.

Desert carnivores

This group includes such well known members as the coyote, kit fox, gray fox, bobcat and mountain lion. A member of the dog family, the coyote resembles its domestic cousins except that its nose is more pointed and its tail is bushier. The coyote is a very vocal mammal, communicating through barks and howls.

All those "bones cluttering up the desert" and you're upset...rightly so. Next time you're out for a stroll in the desert....take pics?

It could be the start of a new tourist prospecting business...looking for "drug mule bones WITH their drug packs"....Never mind taking the wife and kids to prospecting camp and panning for gold on the river.

It isn't only drug mules bodies that have been found. How much do YOU care about those mules, considering the drugs they carry are killing people in the USA? Would YOU vote for the wall to keep them out? You do know that there was enough phentenol seized last year that very single person in the USA would be dead right now. How do YOU stop it from coming into Canada or is that something you don't worry about even though the border between the USA and Canada is also wide open and be walked across much more so than the one that connects the USA and Mexico?.

FEAR MONGERING 101?

IF everyone in the US took too much Fentanyl.

Since everyone in America DID NOT take Fentanyl....there must be a surplus....Will the prices drop because of the surplus? They have too much stock...why keep bringing more in?

They are stocking up because DJT is POTUS?

So many questions so few answers.

RE:It isn't only drug mules bodies that have been found.

You are the one that brought their bodies/bones into the discussion....I chose to respond to that part of your argument.

The way you were talking about how these drug mules were being forced take drugs across the border because they were threatened and their families were being threatened.. if they attempt to stay and refuse to go back and 'do their job', they are killed and replaced. .it makes me wonder even more WHY you aren't more understanding when it comes to families coming across the border illegally. One less thing for the Cartel to hold over the unwilling drug mules head.

RE: How do YOU stop it from coming into Canada

I don't "stop it"...I do MY part by not buying/using it.

NO demand...NO need to supply....Market dries up. Economics 101

Mother Nature also helps keep those nasty people out for a part of the year

You can come on up and buy some Mary Jane it you want....It's legal across the country....supply can not keep up with the demand. So phone ahead.
