jlaquan,
Thanks for your purchase of a Samsung LN46A530.
Most, if not all of your components, will support a higher resolution than a standard definition television. If you used a SD television before this, I might make a couple of recommendations.
All of these recommendations will be enchanced by using either component (Red Blue Green) cables or HDMI cables.
1. DirecTV: In the menu, turn the output resolution to 720p or 1080i.
2. Xbox: In the menu, turn the output resolution to 720p or 1080i.
3. DVD player - I'll need some more information on which model you have, but if it is an upconverting DVD player, you can follow the steps listed above. If it is a progressive scan DVD player, it is a standard definition resolution, and there is no option to improve the picture.
It may be as simple as adjusting your source feeds to improve the picture.
Keep me posted!

I just bought a Samsung LN46A530 and connected it to my DirecTV box, dvd player and my Xbox 360. When I use each one the picture is blurry and unclear. I've went through all of the menu items and nothing works at all. How can I get the picture to come in clearly?
