copy protected video to digital. It should not happen if the camera is being used as a camera, and recording what comes in through its lense.
I bought a Sony DCR-HC42 camcorder last week. This replaces an ancient Canon ES870 analog 8mm camcorder.
I've noticed on new video I've shot that the very bottom edge of the the image is blurry, and a different color from whatever is above it. Is this normal? The bottom edge sort of shimmers, creating the illusion that the edge is moving. My newbie impression is that its some artifact from the movement of the tape over the recording head.
Is this a normal thing? I don't see it on the top edge of the video.
Thanks anyone for any help.
