BluRayLive DVD BDP-S360

by yoridass / January 12, 2010 3:44 PM PST

I need help...everyone I was asking have no idea. I just purchased new BluRay DVD BDP-S360 it has the latest Sony firmware...I thought that new BluRay will read all formats DVD's, but it doesn?t read none of my old +and-DVDs that was burned on my PS and not the BluRay. What and how can I make new BluRayDVDPlayer read old DVDs burn on PC? Is that the player by it self I mean only for BluRay or it can be programmable for all formats? Currently for burning DVDs I use Cyber Link Power2GO. Help If someone knew the answer. Thank you.

Thank you for your respond. So you mean my new player can read only bluray DVDs and blueray formats? What do you mean by saying some are expecting playback of AVI, MKV files? It may be programmable for all formats or not? For future may be you have an idea about what burning DVD software I shod use?

But your questions are unclear and the first post didn't reveal what DVDs you had so let's kill off what I could find in your last post.

What do you mean by saying some are expecting playback of AVI, MKV files?

-> Some owners expected that. And there is nothing on the spec page of the player to lead me to think it could.

It may be programmable for all formats or not?

-> Tell me a format it didn't support. It looked complete to me.

For future may be you have an idea about what burning DVD software I shod use?

-> You would have to reveal more details. I use DVD FLICK, IMGBURN for example. But your posts are incomplete so my answers will be incomplete too.

You can't tell if there are AVI, MKV or such files to be put on DVD I can't answer.

Ask a buddy to look into that. In closing, nothing seems wrong so far. Just a problem that some consumers have trying to learn about video encoding, etc.

Keep trying, keep learning.
