After posting my question I kept researching and I guess my issue is not Blue-Ray on 1080i, but 2:35 movie on 16:9 screen...
Which leads me to another question, why does 2:35 DVD movie play full screen on DVD player but not on my new BD-P1500 Blue-Ray DVD player???
Thanks!
Just bought Samsung BD-P1500 Blue Ray player (didn't really plan on it but after $100 off at BB it was $150!), and while I wait to get my newly ordered PN50A650 and LN32A450), I'm trying to watch a Blue Ray DVD on my 'old' 1080i Samsung 46" DLP - I have two questions...
1. Why is DVD movie displaying on my 1080i TV in smaller screen then full Wide Screen DVD (16:9 - or 2.35:1)??? Movies looked better on regular DVD then on Blu Ray??? Is it limitation of 1080i? Or is something wrong with my new BD-P1500?
2. Will it be better on LN32A450, which is 720P, is that better then regular DVD (is DVD only 480i)?
Thanks!!!
