Question

Bluetooth Reception/Connection Problems

by benherzliya / July 12, 2016 8:30 AM PDT

Dear Sir or Madam,
I purchased bluetooth earphones a month ago - Mini Reflect BT. Unfortunately there is a strange bluetooth connection/reception problem. Here are some details:

When I connect it to my LG Nexus 5 it works fine.

I tried connecting it to my Asus TP300L laptop, using 3 different bluetooth options: The built in bluetooth device, and 2 new usb bluetooth adapters. Some times it works fine, but many times there are distance related reception problems, and it works for a distance of no more than 4-5 meters
It's not clear why connectivity is so weak - on the one hand JBL device that works fine with mobile, on the other hand 3 different adapters.
Does anyone know what is the source of the problem?
Can anyone suggest how to solve the problem?
Thanks,
Ben Carp

I can't figure out your question.

But on most devices if I pair them up I can't pair it with another device.

That's not strange at all.

Clarification

Thanks, I will clarify.
I only connect it to one device at a time. This is not an issue.
1. I don't understand why it doesn't work well with the computer and works fine with the mobile. I purchased two new usb bluetooth adapters, and still with the computer the range is quite short.
2. When connecting to the computer the performance varies. sometimes it working better (better reception better range) than other times. I can't understand why. I don't know why it happens, perhaps it has to do with battery state of the devices, or air conditions (such as humidity)?

Thanks in advance,
Ben

I'd have to be sure I lost the old pairing.

The range is very short on Bluetooth. It can be as short as 1 meter on some things and here I rarely see over 10 meters. Mostly less today with all the WiFi around.

So with 1 milliWatt of power, you are getting about 5 meters so far, so good.

Now the hard part. Not all machines get the same range. This can be because of the Bluetooth card or dongle.
