Bluetooth Mouse

Aug 17, 2007 8:57AM PDT

Is there such thing as a bluetooth mouse that doesn't require a USB dongle? I have internal bluetooth in my laptop, and I don't want to have to use a dongle.

Basically what he is saying (the post above), is if you have internal you by any bluetooth mouse (or other periphial for that matter) and you can use it without attaching the USB dongle (since all the dongle does is act as a bluetooth chip for non-internal bluetooth computers/laptops. I also have an internal bluetooth laptop and have gotten by that way, though some people I talk to say that they can't get it to work with their internal (but I think that may have to deal with the bluetooth format, whether it is the new 2.0 format or the older (can't remember its number)) I am also not too familiar with whether the new bluetooth (2.0) is compatable with the old. Like I said, it works for me (and my head phones), but you might want to consult a professional befor shelling out the bucks. Hope this helps.

If the bluetooth drivers for the internal bluetooth supports HID's then should be fine. Some BT drivers are incomp;lete and may be missing the HID support
