Question

Bluetooth keyboards

Mar 2, 2018 4:50PM PST

After buying a Samsung smart TV trying to navigate using the hand controller over a keyboard makes no sense. I’m told by my TV I have to hook up a Bluetooth keyboard for this to work. Why does this have to be Bluetooth, and what do I need to spend on a decent Bluetooth keyboard?

Clarification Request
Not all Samsungs support Bluetooth keyboards.

I'll start with a nod to the Logitech K400 Plus then share which model (be sure it's the long model number with the 4 or 5 letters at the end) so everyone can check out which keyboard you can use.

Bluetooth keyboards

This is one of the first I found, but there’s something I just don’t get. I have two Logitech keyboards, but neither work. They are wireless, I paid around $100.00 for each yet the K400 plus works. According to around 4 thousand users this works.
This is a comment made by a person that bought one. “I was told my smart TV has been designed to work with "HID compliant devices", which I found the Logitech K-400 keyboard does. I plugged the dongle that came with the keyboard into the USB on the back of the TV, turned the keyboard on and was connected to my TV immediately”.
Thanks for your help

OK, everything is up and working. For some reason my TV didn't recognize it but the keyboard is working. That's all I care about.
Thanks
