You should do a product review then

I almost never will buy an item with no review. Maybe consider helping them with your very positive experience?

here you go:

I picked these up for around 30 bucks at buy.com. i have a couple uses for these.
1. my phone. to listen to music and take calls
2. my laptop. has bluetooth built in. i use it for skype and to listen to music.

Pros: battery lasts FOREVER. SUPER inexpensive. when you get a call, the headphones ring, when you take the call by pushing the center button, it pauses the music and answers the call! when you hang up it starts playing again, really nifty feature. also controls for play vol back and forth are right on the headphones.

Cons: after wearing them for long periods ( >4 hours) the ear hooks can get a little uncomfortable. has a nontraditional usb charging hole. only comes in blue. i wish they made in-ear ones (however technically impractical that sounds). works up to 20ft away (manual says 30 i think)

I left sound quality out of +/- because I'm not sure where to put it. I haven't tested other bluetooth headphones so im not sure what to expect, but i can say this. A2DP is a MILLION times better than regular bluetooth that you use to talk to ppl. that being said, its not as good as wired headphones. its much closer to wired headphones in quality, but its noticeably not equivalent. im not sure how this compares with other products, but I would wager that it is in fact the case for other ones as well.

Overall, I've been using them for maybe 6 months now, and i LOVE them. yea they have cons, but they are more generic cons than specific ones i think. i would definitely recommend these to someone looking for bluetooth headphones. as far as i know these are BY FAR the best bang for your buck in this department...

hope this helps.

Wow, sucks to do it all over
Feb 17, 2009 1:08AM PST

but I appreciate you going to the trouble. Also gives an interesting insight into how it changed a bit over time. Like, did you catch that the original said 40-50' for distance but this new one says 20'? I'm gonna go with sunspots to explain it <g>

By any chance are you using this with a Verizon phone? They has a reputation (when last I looked) for disabling Bluetooth features in some phones.

hahaha i wondered about that

after i possted the other i was like hmm i wonder how my opinion has changed... hehe

as far as as the distance, im not sure what it is but in some places it seems like theres resistence or something and it works not as far away, or maybe its low battery or something.,.. thats funny tho..

I AM using a verizon vx6900/Touch and it has A2DP native support, my old 6700 i had to download a hack. id imagine most new phones would, but id ask someone that actually knows something at a verizon store to be sure.

it LOOKS like plantronics has a better microphone...

if you want to podcast, id prolly go with something more traditional, the mic in the iogear is built into the earpiece and its not the best...

for phone/on the go, def the iogear Wink
