Bluetooth drivers on WinXP SP2 on IBM T41

Can't get dongle work on IOGear dongle. Driver (Wincomm 1.4.2 Build 11 (also 10)) gets wiped out by WinXP SP2 and replaced by generic driver (that won't recognize IOGEAR hardware. IOGEAR support cannot provide a fix. Any help/experience available?

No comment please... We installed the Microsoft USB BT dongle...
