Hello,

The two images above are screen shots from SW Update. Every time I open it I am informed that I have two available updates. One I don't need, Norton. I already have Panda Anti Virus yet Norton just wont go away even though I already have Anti Virus Software. The other just wont install.

Every time I attempt to install the Bluetooth Driver the update fails. I have a screen shot of the message below.

I also have two Bluetooth related updates available from Windows, again neither work.

And the outcome when I try to install the windows updates;

Can anybody help me get rid of Norton, make the Bluetooth Installer work and fix my Windows Update?

Thanks for any help given,

Ryan.

Do not accept drivers from that. As to norton, I used the Norton Removal tool (found with google.)

Thank you R. Proffitt.

Do you mean SW Update when you refer to 'that'? If so, what should I do to stop it popping up every time I start up my PC?

Also, how do I get rid of, or preferably successfully install, the updates for Bluetooth for Windows?

Thanks for your help.

Ryan.

I have only your post details. Your top post seems to claim this is from Windows Update.

Windows 8's "Windows Update" does have a control panel to hide or ignore updates. It is not easy to find but I found it after a few clicks.

Microsoft writes in the onboard help the following.

"To hide an update

1.Tap or click to open Windows Update in Control Panel.

2.Do one of the following:
•If you have any important updates, click the link that tells you important updates are available.

•If you have any optional updates, click the link that tells you optional updates are available.

3.Select any update that you want to hide, press and hold or right-click it, tap or click Hide update, and then tap or click OK."
